Our weed spraying is £5 per m² for light weeds and £7 per m² for heavy weeds, with a £100 minimum per visit. Most people book one to three visits a year. It's slow, careful work in full protective kit, which is why it's priced by the square metre.
Our weed spraying prices
Weed spraying is priced by the area and by how bad the weeds are. Here's what some common sizes come to for one visit.
| Area | Light weeds | Heavy weeds |
|---|---|---|
| 20 m² | £100 (minimum) | £140 |
| 50 m² | £250 | £350 |
| 100 m² | £500 | £700 |
| 200 m² | £1,000 | £1,400 |
Prices are per visit, so two or three visits a year cost the price per visit times the number of visits. For your own area, put the size into the calculator on our weed spraying page and it works out a rough price per visit and per year.
Why it's priced per m²
Spraying weeds properly isn't a quick walk up the drive with a sprayer. We go over every bit of the area slowly, along the joints of the patio, the edges of the drive and through the gravel, in full protective kit. Going carefully means the spray goes on the weeds and not on the plants next to them.
Because the time on site follows the size of the area, so does the price. Whether it's light or heavy depends on how much of the area the weeds have taken over, and we'll tell you which from your photos.
What changes the price
- The area. Your area in m² times £5 for light weeds or £7 for heavy weeds.
- Light or heavy weeds. Heavy weeds take longer to cover properly, so they cost more per m².
- The minimum. £100 per visit, so small areas are priced at £100.
- The number of visits. One visit, or two or three spread through the year.
The surface itself doesn't change the price. Driveways, patios, paths, gravel and fence lines all cost the same per m².
Killed, not dug out
Weed spraying kills the weeds where they are. We don't dig them out. They die back over 7 to 14 days, so don't worry if they still look green the day after we've been.
If you want beds and borders weeded by hand, that's a different job, and you'll find it on our weeding and borders page. If the problem is moss and grime on the surface rather than weeds, have a look at pressure washing or soft washing instead.
How many visits a year?
Most people book between one and three visits a year. One visit can be enough to knock the weeds back, but stubborn perennial weeds may need a second treatment, which is why some people book two or three.
We spray in dry, still conditions. If rain or wind would affect the results, we'll move your visit to another day. Keep pets and children off the treated areas until they're dry.
What weed spraying doesn't cover
- Lawns. Lawn weed treatment is part of our lawn care plans.
- Digging out roots. We kill the weeds, we don't dig them out.
- Cleaning the surface. Moss and grime are a soft washing or pressure washing job.
