Lawn Mowing in
Carmarthenshire

Lawn mowing in Kidwelly, Burry Port and across Carmarthenshire — done properly, on a schedule that suits your lawn. Keltic Grounds Wales offers regular grass cutting from weekly through to monthly, plus one-off cuts for overgrown lawns, holiday cover, or pre-sale tidy-ups. Every cut includes proper edge work, all clippings cleared away (or mulched if you prefer), and sharp blades — because a blunt mower tears grass instead of cutting it, which causes the brown tips you sometimes see after cheap garden services have been. Reliable visits, predictable pricing, and a finish you'll actually want to look at.

What's Included With Every Cut

What's included in every visit.

Sharp-blade cut at the right height

we adjust cut height to season and grass condition. Too short stresses the lawn; too long looks unkempt.

Tidy edges

strimmed against fences, paths, beds and obstacles so the whole lawn looks finished, not just the middle.

Clippings collected or mulched

your choice. Mulching feeds the lawn naturally; collection gives a cleaner finish.

Quick site tidy

paths and patios blown clear of clippings before we leave. We don't leave a mess.

Mowing Frequencies

Weekly (peak season)
best for lawns you want looking sharp throughout summer. Most domestic lawns in Carmarthenshire benefit from weekly cuts May-September, then fortnightly in shoulder seasons.

Fortnightly
the most popular option for most homes. Keeps the lawn neat without weekly visits. We adjust timing through the year.

Monthly or one-off

for low-maintenance gardens, holiday cover, or a single tidy-up before guests, photos or selling.

-One-Off and Overgrown Lawns-

If your lawn has been left for weeks, months or longer, we can usually still rescue it. Long grass needs a phased cut — taking it down in stages over a few visits — rather than scalping it in one go (which kills the lawn underneath). We charge a fair one-off rate for first cuts and can move you onto regular visits afterwards if you want.

-Equipment We Use-

We run professional Honda and Stihl equipment, maintained weekly with sharp blades. Most domestic lawns are cut with a self-propelled rotary mower; for larger or wetter lawns we use a ride-on. Strimming is done with petrol equipment, not battery, because batteries don't have the runtime for proper edge work on a full round.

FAQ's

How much does lawn mowing cost?
Most domestic lawn mows in our area sit between £20 and £45 per visit, depending on size, access and complexity. Larger gardens, multiple lawns or ride-on jobs cost more. Every quote is fixed-price — no per-hour charging.
Do you mow in the rain?
Light rain is fine. Heavy rain we'll reschedule, because cutting wet grass tears rather than cuts, leaves clumps, and damages the lawn. We'll let you know in advance if we're moving a visit and we don't charge for rescheduled visits.
What about during winter?
Most lawns don't need cutting between late November and late February. We pause regular visits over winter and resume in March. If a mild winter keeps the grass growing, we'll do an occasional tidy cut on request.
Will the same person come each time?
Yes, where possible. Consistency matters — same person, same schedule, same standard. If illness or holiday means a swap, we'll let you know in advance.
Are you insured?
Keltic Grounds Wales carries full public liability insurance and employers' liability insurance. We can provide proof of cover before any first visit if you'd like to see it.
Do I need to be home?
No, as long as we can access the lawn. Most regular customers give us a gate code or leave the side gate unlocked on cutting day.
