Gutter clearance in Burry Port

Burry Port and Pembrey sit right on the coast, round the harbour and the edge of Pembrey Country Park. Gardens here deal with salt wind, sandy soil and a lot of weather off Carmarthen Bay.

Gulls nest on roofs along the coast, and old nests, feathers and moss are a common cause of blocked gutters and downpipes round the harbour. All wild birds are protected while nesting, so if there's an active nest on the gutter, that part waits until the chicks have gone.
