Lawn mowing in Cross Hands
Cross Hands sits on the crossroads of the A48 and the A476, with Gorslas, Cefneithin and Penygroes running into it. It's grown fast, with new housing estates going up next to the old mining terraces, and the Food Park and business park along the A48.
New build gardens round Cross Hands often have turf laid straight onto compacted ground, so lawns struggle and get patchy. Regular mowing at the right height, plus aeration if it needs it, helps them thicken up.
We never take off more than about a third of the grass height in one cut, and we vary the mowing direction, which is what keeps a lawn thick and stripy rather than scalped.
Saving overgrown lawns
What's in a cut
Cut, clippings your way
Grass cut to the right height for the season, with the clippings put in your green bin, taken away for an extra fee or mulched back in.
Edges trimmed
Lawn edges strimmed or cut back so borders and paths stay crisp.
Paths blown off
Clippings blown off paths, patios and drives before we leave.
Right mower for the lawn
Compact mowers for tight gardens, a stand on mower for big open lawns.
