Lawn mowing in Pontyberem
Pontyberem sits further up the Gwendraeth Fawr. It was a coal village, and Pentremawr colliery worked here until the 1970s, so most homes are terraces and semis on the valley sides, with farmland and woodland all around.
Lawns on the valley sides in Pontyberem are often sloping and shaded by trees, so we cut at a slightly higher height to stop them thinning out and going mossy.
We never take off more than about a third of the grass height in one cut, and we vary the mowing direction, which is what keeps a lawn thick and stripy rather than scalped.
Saving overgrown lawns
What's in a cut
Same faces, same day
A regular slot on our round, fortnightly or every four weeks.
Cut, clippings your way
Grass cut to the right height for the season, with the clippings put in your green bin, taken away for an extra fee or mulched back in.
Edges trimmed
Lawn edges strimmed or cut back so borders and paths stay crisp.

Clippings blown off paths, patios and drives before we leave.
