Lawn treatment in the UK usually costs £23 to £50 a month on a plan, or £30 to £60 for a one-off treatment, according to MyJobQuote's lawn care guide updated in October 2026. Our plans for a lawn of about 50m² are £24, £38 or £72 a month, so a year of our Basic plan with 7 to 8 treatments is £288, and you get a fixed price in writing once we've seen a photo.
What lawn treatment costs in the UK
MyJobQuote's lawn care cost guide, last updated in October 2026, puts the average one-off lawn treatment at around £45 and gives these prices.
| Type of treatment | Typical UK price | Average |
|---|---|---|
| One-off treatment | £30 to £60 | £45 |
| Monthly lawn care | £23 to £50 a month | £37 a month |
| Full lawn care service for a year | £150 to £400 | £275 |
| Seasonal treatment, 50m² lawn | £15 to £18 a visit |
The same guide gives these prices for one-off machine and repair work: scarifying £45 to £120, aeration £30 to £80, overseeding £60 to £160 and top dressing £80 to £180. It doesn't say whether its prices include VAT.
Our lawn treatment prices
We run three lawn care plans, paid monthly by Direct Debit with no long-term contract. These are the prices on our lawn care page, for a small lawn of about 50m². Bigger lawns are priced by size, and your fixed price comes in writing once we've seen a photo.
| Plan | What's in it | Our price |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | 7 to 8 treatments a year, with seasonal feeds, moss control and weed control | £24 a month |
| Premium | Everything in Basic, plus scarifying and aeration | £38 a month |
| Elite | Everything in Premium, plus overseeding and top dressing | £72 a month |
Our Basic plan at £24 a month is at the bottom of MyJobQuote's £23 to £50 monthly range, Premium at £38 is about its £37 average, and Elite at £72 is above the top of the range. A year of Basic comes to £288, a little above MyJobQuote's £275 average for a full year, and inside its £150 to £400 range. Per treatment, Basic works out at about £36 to £41, which is inside the £30 to £60 range for a one-off treatment but more than the £15 to £18 a visit MyJobQuote gives for seasonal treatments on a 50m² lawn. We'd rather show you the real numbers than a price that only looks low.
Worked examples
Here's how the maths works over a year of 12 monthly payments, for a lawn of about 50m², using the prices above.
| Plan or question | Working | Guide price |
|---|---|---|
| Basic plan for a year | 12 months at £24 | £288 |
| Premium plan for a year | 12 months at £38 | £456 |
| Elite plan for a year | 12 months at £72 | £864 |
| Basic, cost per treatment | £288 split over 8 treatments, or over 7 | £36 to £41 |
| Adding scarifying and aeration, Basic to Premium | £14 a month for 12 months | £168 a year |
| Adding overseeding and top dressing, Premium to Elite | £34 a month for 12 months | £408 a year |
Going from Basic to Premium adds £168 a year for scarifying and aeration, which is inside the £75 to £200 you'd pay for one of each as one-off jobs at MyJobQuote's prices. Going from Premium to Elite adds £408 a year for overseeding and top dressing, which is above the £140 to £340 for one of each at MyJobQuote's one-off prices.
What's included
- Spring feed and weed. An early season feed and selective weed control to wake the lawn up and choke out dandelions, daisies and clover.
- Summer feed. A slow-release feed to keep the colour and growth steady through the warmer months.
- Moss treatment. An iron-based treatment to kill moss without scorching the grass.
- Autumn feed. A feed to harden the lawn against winter stress.
- Scarifying and aeration on Premium and Elite. Moss and thatch taken out by machine, and the lawn aerated to ease compaction and help drainage on heavy clay soils.
- Overseeding and top dressing on Elite. New seed and a top dressing to thicken the lawn up.
You don't need to be home, as long as we can get to the lawn. We use products approved for domestic use, and most treatments mean keeping children and pets off the lawn for 2 to 4 hours until it's dry. We'll always tell you the timings.
WhatsApp a photo of your lawn and a rough size to 07888 293 754 and we'll usually send a fixed price in writing the same day. We carry £5 million public liability insurance and we're an upper tier waste carrier registered with Natural Resources Wales (CBDU036241). If anything isn't right, tell us within 7 days and we'll come back and sort it free. See our lawn care page for the full programme.
What changes the price
- The size of the lawn. Our plan prices are for a small lawn of about 50m². Bigger lawns are priced by size.
- The plan. Basic is £24 a month, Premium is £38 a month and Elite is £72 a month.
- The state of the lawn. If your lawn is more moss, weeds and bare patches than grass, a renovation or new turf might be the better spend.
Treatment, renovation or new turf?
Treatment plans keep a lawn healthy over the year. If yours is past saving with treatments, a full lawn renovation is £7.80 per m² with a £400 minimum, so a 50m² lawn works out at £390 and the £400 minimum applies. New turf is £18 per m² laid, so the same 50m² lawn would be £900. You can work yours out with our turfing cost calculator.
When to start
Early spring, in March or April, is the best time to start a plan, because it sets the lawn up for the whole year. Autumn is the next best, because that's when scarifying and aeration work best. We can start a plan in any month.
Mowing is a separate service. Most lawns are £35 a cut, and our guide to how much lawn mowing costs has the full prices.
