What we walked into
Her nephew used to cut this 20ft hedge for her. Not anymore, so she got us in to take it back down in Burry Port, and it ended up being a job with a dead trimmer, a beehive in the ivy and next door telling me I wasn't allowed to cut it.
The ground was too uneven for ladders and there was no room for a cherry picker, so it had to be cut from inside the hedge while Callum did the sides. These days we only take on tall hedges we can reach safely from ladders or a cherry picker.
Filmed in Burry Port. The short went up in October 2026 and the full video in November 2026.

Her Angry Neighbour Told Me Not to Cut This Hedge
Never cut leylandii into the brown
We only took the green off this hedge, never into the brown, because leylandii won't grow back from bare wood.
Next door told me I wasn't allowed to cut it. If you're stuck in a hedge argument yourself, our guide on whether you can cut your neighbour's leylandii is worth a read first.
On the price, I quoted £300 and she bartered me down to £250 by taking the waste off. It was about 3 hours, and to be honest I should've stuck at £300.
