What we walked into
Brambles had grown out across the lawn, hawthorn had swallowed the whole side wall and the side gate wouldn't open. With two young kids it wasn't somewhere they could safely play.
Halfway through brushcutting we hit metal wire buried in the middle of it. That got pulled out by hand, and it's exactly why ground like this is cleared carefully rather than blitzed.

Why we don't blitz overgrown ground
You can't see what's under a few years of brambles. On this job it was metal wire, on others it's been bricks, glass and old fencing. Going in carefully with blades means we find it before it finds a machine or a child.
Saving money on waste is fine if you have your own way of getting rid of it. Here the client took the waste himself, which kept the price at £255.
