- Overgrown Land Clearance
Ground you can use again
Real photos from our own jobs.

What we clear
Brambles and scrub
Cut down to ground level across whole plots, banks and field edges.
Waist-high grass
Knocked back with heavy brushcutters, then cut again so it can be mowed.
Steep banks
Worked across the slope by hand where machines can't go safely.
Plots and building land
Cleared so surveyors, buyers or builders can actually see the ground.
Paddocks and field edges
Overgrown margins, fence lines and corners brought back under control.
Ongoing upkeep
A few cuts a year to keep it clear once the big job is done.
What land clearance doesn't include
- Digging out roots or stumps. We cut back to ground level or low stumps only.
- Tree felling or anything needing climbing.
- Japanese knotweed. It needs a specialist, because cutting it can spread it.
A whole hill in Kidwelly
The owner needed this hillside cleared and kept maintained to protect her claim to the land, with a council deadline hanging over it.
We filmed the whole job, from first cut to finished ground.
She Has to Prove This Hill Is Hers, and the Council Just Gave Her a Deadline
Things worth knowing
The best time for big clearances is September to February, outside bird nesting season. From March to August we can still work, but we check for active nests first and leave any section with birds nesting in it, because damaging an active nest is an offence under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
If you think there's Japanese knotweed on the land, tell us before we quote. It isn't illegal to have it, but it is an offence to cause it to spread into the wild, and the cut material counts as controlled waste, so it needs a specialist.
For land you're selling, letting or proving you look after, we're happy to date-stamp photos before and after each visit for your records.

Common questions
What kind of land do you clear?
Overgrown plots, paddocks, field edges, banks, verges on private land and building land. If it's covered in brambles, scrub or long grass, we can usually clear it.
Do you take the cut material away?
On smaller plots we take it away as a registered waste carrier. On bigger land it's often better to leave it in a tidy heap or windrow on site, which keeps the price down. We'll talk you through both when we quote.
Can you clear steep ground?
Yes. Steep banks are a big part of what we do. We work across the slope with brushcutters, where a mower can't go safely.
Do you dig out roots or stumps?
No. We cut back to ground level or low stumps. Digging out roots is a much heavier job, so we leave it out of our quotes and say so in writing.
How much does land clearance cost?
It depends on the size, how dense the growth is, the slope and access, and whether the waste is taken away. Every job gets a free site visit and a fixed price in writing.
